Meet our team

For Pets Sake in the Barossa Valley is run solely by experienced pet owners to ensure that you get professional advice for you and your pet.

Owner, sales assistant

Suzanne Luce

Suzanne is originally from Ottawa, Canada where she worked as a vet nurse and also spent several years working for a local pet store running the small animal and reptile departments.

Her love of animals was evident right from a young age, when she used to bring home any stray creatures she found! This love never dissipated and has led her to running a vet clinic and opening For Pets Sake.

Suzanne gets a real kick out of helping people enjoy their pets. A qualified vet nurse herself and an avid pet owner, Suzanne has cared for numerous animals throughout her life including dogs, cats, birds, fish, rabbits, lizards and turtles.

Sales assistant

Kelsey Sullivan

Kelsey joined our team in October 2021 and has fast developed into a wonderful salesperson!  Kelsey's background is in wildlife rescue, and she volunteers for the Barossa Wildlife Rescue group, caring for all sorts of different orphaned and injured native animals. It is not uncommon to find a Joey or two hanging out in the store on Kelsey's days!

She is a caring and empathic person and her dedication to the native fauna is admirable.  That care comes through in her passion for helping owners find the best for their pets.

Kelsey is a vibrant and cheerful person and lights up the room when she is in the store.  We love having her as part of our team!

Amanda joined us in October 2022.  Over many years, Amanda has been involved in the rescue and care of orphaned animals, namely lambs, kittens and abandoned cats and she has also rescued and cared for many unwanted dogs.

Amanda has a real soft spot for helping all animals in need and continues to happily take any fosters that come her way.  She has a wonderful caring nature and that shows through in her desire to help others give the best care to their pets!

You can find her in the store on Wednesdays.
